AI Assistant

GorkyCAD Pro includes a context-aware AI assistant trained on electrical engineering standards. It’s not a generic chatbot — it understands your project.

What the AI Can Do

Error detection	Finds missing protection, overloaded circuits, selectivity violations
Design suggestions	Recommends cable cross-sections, breaker ratings, cabinet layouts
Standards lookup	Answers questions about IEC, IS, ГОСТ clauses with citations
BOM generation	Creates a bill of materials from your design, ready for suppliers
Documentation	Writes calculation notes, test reports, and compliance statements

Activation

Click the AI button in the bottom-right corner or press Ctrl+Space. The assistant panel opens as a sidebar. It has context of your currently selected object or circuit.

Error Detection Mode

The AI continuously scans your project for:

• Circuits without overcurrent protection
• Cable cross-section too small for load
• Missing RCD protection (where required by standard)
• Selectivity conflicts between breakers
• Phase imbalance exceeding limits

Each warning shows:

• 🔴 Error — must be fixed before export
• 🟡 Warning — recommended to fix
• 🔵 Suggestion — best practice

Click any warning to jump to the relevant object.

Interactive Design

You can ask the AI in natural language:

• “What cable cross-section for a 32A circuit at 45 meters?”
• “Check if this cabinet needs ventilation”
• “Suggest a distribution scheme for 5 apartments”
• “Generate the cable schedule for this floor”
• “Is this design compliant with IS 732?”

The AI references clauses from the applicable standard in its answer.

Documentation Generation

Select AI → Generate Report to create:

• Calculation justification note — explains every calculation with standard references
• Compliance statement — confirms conformity to IEC/IS/ГОСТ
• Test protocol — ready-to-print commissioning form

Documents are generated in the project language (English, Hindi, or Russian).

Privacy

The AI runs locally in your browser where possible. For complex queries, it uses a cloud endpoint that does not store your project data. No drawings or calculations leave your session permanently.

Limitations

• The AI is a design assistant, not a replacement for a qualified engineer
• Always review auto-generated documentation before submission
• Complex motor starting transients require manual verification
• AI suggestions follow the standard selected in Project Settings — switch standards if needed

Tips

• Select an object before opening the assistant — it uses that as context
• Use specific questions rather than vague ones
• The AI learns from corrections — if it suggests something wrong, the feedback improves future suggestions
