Zones 0-2
Zone 0 — inside the bath/shower (IPX7, SELV 12 V). Zone 1 — above the bath (IPX4). Zone 2 — 60 cm from the bath (IPX4). Beyond zone 2 — normal requirements.
Sockets
Sockets — only in zone 2 and beyond, at least 60 cm from the water. All bathroom sockets — RCD 10 mA or 30 mA (10 mA recommended per IEC for children's protection).
Equipment
Heated towel rail — own circuit; washing machine — own circuit; boiler — own circuit. Each with its own MCB.
Lighting
Ceiling light in zones 1-2 — IPX4 minimum. LED strips above the mirror — SELV 12/24 V with a driver outside the zone.
Heated floor
In the bathroom — 150-200 W/m², own circuit, thermostat outside zone 2, RCD 10-30 mA.
