Where 30 mA
All socket circuits: per PUE 7.1.79 and IEC 60364-4-41. Also: bathrooms, kitchens, washing machines — groups with high humidity.
Where 10 mA
Bathrooms and children's rooms — 10 mA protects at the level of touching with wet hands. More sensitive, more expensive.
Fire protection 100 mA
The input fire RCD (100-300 mA) protects the wiring in the walls. Required for wooden houses and cottages per IEC 60364-4-42.
Type A vs AC
Type A detects pulsed DC — for washing machines, induction hobs, LED drives. Type AC only AC. In new projects, GorkyCAD selects Type A for all socket groups.
RCBO or RCD+MCB?
RCBO saves space in the panel but costs more. With RCD+MCB, a trip of the group does not turn off everything. GorkyCAD offers both and compares the price.
Common mistakes
