Cable or mat?
For wet screed — heating cable; for tile on glue — mats. Power: 150 W/m² for comfort, 180-200 W/m² for main heating. Area: 60-70% of the room excluding furniture.
Dedicated circuit
Heated floor is a separate circuit from the panel. For a bathroom of 3-5 m², 450-750 W — breaker C6-C10, cable 1.5 mm². For 10 m² — 1.5-2 kW, C10, 2.5 mm².
Thermostat circuit
The thermostat is powered from the same circuit, the sensor cable is laid in the corrugation to the floor. Temperature limiters are required for wooden floors.
RCD requirement
Per PUE/IEC, the heated floor circuit requires RCD 30 mA — combined with the thermostat's own protection.
Zone planning
Mark heated zones on the plan in GorkyCAD: under tile, under laminate — each zone with its own thermostat.
Checklist
Design checks: circuit load, cable cross-section, RCD, thermostat placement, sensor placement — GorkyCAD runs them automatically.
