Electrical Inspection — What Is Checked

Integrating pulse-output meters into your design. Connection diagrams, CT selection, AMR system based on GorkyCAD.

Author: GorkyCAD Team

What is checked

Panel: input protection, RCD, labeling, scheme. Sockets: grounding, polarity, RCD groups. Cable: cross-sections, installation method. Bathrooms: zones and IP.

Documents

Electrical project, test protocol (insulation resistance, RCD trip, grounding), equipment certificates, panel passport.

Typical violations

No RCD on socket circuits; PEN splitting without re-grounding; wrong cross-sections; no labels; no test protocol; violations of bathroom zones.

How to prepare

Pass the test protocol before the inspection; check the panel per the scheme; the inspector compares the installation with the project.

If violations found

The inspector issues a list of deficiencies with a deadline. After the fix — a re-inspection, usually free.

How GorkyCAD helps

The project, SLD, specifications and panel passport are generated from the model — the documents are ready before the work starts.
