GorkyCAD tool guides

Step-by-step guides for every tool: walls, electrical, routing, panel, single-line diagram and PDF export. Design follows the steps in the toolbar above the canvas.

1. Walls and furniture ("Furniture" step)

How to draw a wall: open the "Furniture" step → the "Wall" tool → click on the canvas and drag a line. Hold Shift for straight 0°/90° angles.

Doors and windows: select "Door" or "Window" in the left library → click on the wall — the opening will snap to the wall and appear in the right place.

Dimensions: the "Dimension" tool → click two points → a dimension line is placed.

Wall thickness is set in the properties panel (250 mm by default).
Wall materials (brick, aerated concrete, gypsum board, etc.) — for correct hatching and specification.
Rooms are recognized automatically from the closed wall contour.

2. Electrical ("Electrical" step)

Outlet: the "Electrical" step → "Outlet" → click on the wall. The symbol automatically snaps to the wall.

Switch: "Switch" → click on the wall near the door. The switch snaps to the nearest lighting group.

Light: "Light fixture" → click in the center of the room. Lighting groups use a dedicated 10A breaker.

Symbols comply with GOST and are available in the left library.
The interface suggests optimal locations per PUE rules (outlet heights, wet zones).
Devices are grouped into circuits automatically (auto-circuits) considering loads.

3. Cable routing ("Routing" step)

Cable: the "Cable" tool → connect a device to the panel. The route is drawn automatically along the optimal path (orthogonal, avoiding walls).

Route length is calculated automatically (horizontal + vertical drops).
Cable cross-section is selected by calculation (PUE tables 1.3.4–1.3.7).
Supported types: VVGng-LS, VVGng-FRLS, NYM, PVS, KG, UTP, FTP.

4. Electrical panel ("Panel" step)

Auto-layout: the "Panel" step → GorkyCAD automatically arranges the input, breakers, RCDs, N/PE busbars and voltage relay on the DIN rail.

Breakers B/C/D (1P–4P, 1A–100A), RCDs (10–300 mA), RCBOs, meters, contactors.
Phase balancing is performed automatically (imbalance < 15%).
Panel check: correct breakers, cross-sections, selectivity.

5. Single-line diagram ("Schematic" step)

Auto-generation: the "Schematic" step → the single-line diagram is generated automatically from the project model.

Diagram per GOST 2.702, ~42 GOST symbols.
Cable schedule, specification and PDF export — on the same tab.
The diagram is editable: connections, device replacement, wire routing.

6. Calculations

Loads and currents: calculated automatically from connected devices (demand factor).

Cable cross-section: selected per PUE, heating and voltage drop are checked.

Short-circuit current (GOST 28249-93), voltage drop (GOST 32144), selectivity, illuminance.
41 PUE/GOST/SP checks — via the "Check PUE" button.

7. PDF export ("Save" step)

Document set: the "Save" step → select documents (plan, diagram, specification, estimate, panel passport) → GorkyCAD assembles a GOST-compliant PDF.

Formats: PDF (with GOST stamp), DXF, XLSX, IFC, BCF, JSON.
Panel passport with QR code — per GOST R 21.1101-2013.
Panel labels and cable marking.

FAQ

How do I start a project?

Click "Start project" on the start screen, then follow the steps: walls → electrical → routing → panel → schematic → PDF.

Do I need to configure GOST/PUE manually?

No — GOST, PUE and SP are built in. Calculations and checks run automatically.

How do I check a project?

Click "Check PUE" — the program shows errors (41 rules) with links to the standards.

Can I import an existing project?

Yes: BTI plan import (SVG/PNG/JPG/WebP/BMP), DXF import, JSON project exchange.
